Reaching the City of
Beaumont
Community Outreach
We believe in reaching the world for
Christ one person at a time. Being the hands and feet of Christ is a
privilege, which allows us to show Gods love in very real ways in
often unsuspecting opportunities. Ministering outside the walls of
the church and working inter-denominationally as the Body of Christ
will bring glory to Him. We fervently pray He will “increase our
territory” so we may be an influence in the Golden Triangle and thus
impact our nation and world. The purpose of our Community Outreach
Ministry is to equip and encourage others to seek, find and follow
Jesus Christ. We believe it is necessary to take our faith beyond
Sunday morning services and the walls of the church to those living
every day lost without Christ. Find out more about the established
Community Outreaches we are honored to partner with by clicking on
“Who we Support” located on the right.
About Pastor Linda Sculley
Pastor Linda is
credentialed through the Assemblies of God serving as minister of
Outreach and Community Missions at Cathedral. Working
inter-denominationally as the body of Christ has inspired Pastor
Linda to bring Christian Women’s Job Corps to the Golden Triangle.
Networking with businesses, agencies and churches to give women a
“hand up” not a “hand out” has been a rewarding challenge. She has
volunteered within the community at the HOPE Crisis Pregnancy
Center, the Jefferson County Restitution Center and Moms In Touch
Intl. She was recognized for volunteer work by the Texas Dept. of
Criminal Justice and the Governor of Texas. Linda emphasizes, “It is
my passion to work beyond the walls of the church, on a daily basis.
It is such a privilege to have this opportunity to serve. I am
excited about what God has for the future of our church and our
community.”
Married to Mike Sculley for 34 years with five children, they are
both from Beaumont and have attended Cathedral for 25 years. Mike is
very active in the business community and serves as Chaplain of a
local Truck Stop Ministry and international outreach to truck
drivers. They have partnered in their work with Beaumont’s local
HOPE Crisis Pregnancy Center, the Bill Glass Crusade and have had
the opportunity to work with ministries in Mexico and El Salvador.

Moms In Touch International
Impacting
children and schools worldwide for Christ, this ministry is founded
upon the prayers of mothers. The purpose of this international
ministry is for moms to pray one hour each week lifting up their
children, schools, teachers and administration. It is the heartfelt
prayer of these mothers to see our schools founded upon biblical
values and high, moral standards. These groups provide support and
encouragement to moms who carry heavy burdens for their children.
