Purpose and Core Values

Power Evangelism
We believe the Word of God calls the Church to be evangelistic in focus motivating the believer to share his/her relationship with Christ and experiences as a Christian in the home and marketplace (Acts 1:8). We also believe power should accompany evangelism through demonstrations of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 14:22).

Relational Investment
We believe the Church is called to participate in authentic relationship with others (1 Cor. 12:12) for purpose of influence and instruction; the edification of the individual; the strengthening of the corporate body; and preparing future generations to lead the Body of Christ until the return of our Lord.

Missions-Minded
We believe the Church is called to carry the testimony of the Lord Jesus to the four corners of the earth through the support – both prayerfully and financially – of foreign and domestic missions. We support prayerfully through consistent challenges to the body of Christ to remember our missionaries in their personal prayer life; we support financially with a dedicated effort to raise and give $500,000 to the mission of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ around the world this year.

Equipping the Believer
Cathedral’s commitment to excellence in ministry, both to the individual and community as a whole, has, as its primary goal, the equipping of the believer to live in the presence and the power of God for the accomplishing of the good works he has prepared for the believer in advance to do.

Focused and Strategic Prayer
God has appointed all believers to embrace the call to effectual and fervent prayer (James 5:16, 1 Thessalonians 5: 17) so the Kingdom of God can be manifested on Earth as it is in Heaven. To that end, Cathedral and its family will continue to pursue God in the discipline of focused and strategic prayer.
